Jose Mourinho Calls On Ed Woodward To Fix 'Difficult Season' Ahead

Arsenal are prepared to rival Manchester United for the signing of Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, according to a report in Germany.

Having won the Premier League title in 2014/15, Mourinho faced a dressing room revolt in the following campaign, with the Brazilian seemingly being the only player to keep on giving his all.

Jose Mourinho has pleaded with United chief Ed Woodward to bring in some new faces to Old Trafford before Thursday's deadline.

Sportsmail reported last week that the 29-year-old had been offered to United after his move to Paris Saint-Germain collapsed.

Frank Ribery led the calls as he said: "I've been playing with Jerome for many years now".
