Although Apple's cryptic email doesn't reveal much, the United States technology firm is expected to unveil three new iPhones at its event next week.

If previous years are any indication, Apple's new iPhones could go on sale the following week, perhaps on September 21.

San Francisco: Apple Inc. set 12 September as its most important day of the year when the world's most valuable public company will unveil the next iPhones. Apple is expected to announce several different iPhones at the event, including the rumored iPhone 9 and iPhone X2.

Apple's event is supposedly focused on the iPhone, but that doesn't mean Apple won't add some extras to its list of new product announcements.

The leaked Apple Watch also appears to be in a shiny gold enclosure, which could suggest a new stainless steel case with a gold finish.

The Cupertino tech company is widely anticipated to launch the iPhone X 2018 series at the event. Although we have a single image to work with, it does confirm most all rumors that we've heard about the watch's design.

Images of the new iPhone Xs and the Apple Watch 4 have leaked online today, revealing the major design changes Apple has in store. Along with that giant display, the largest iPhone model is also expected to have a third rear camera, potentially granting the phone an edge when it comes to photographing in low-light conditions. The iPhone X, priced at $999 and up, has helped Apple beat Wall Street sales expectations. Purportedly dubbed the "iPhone XS", the phone appears in a gold finish featuring a 5.8-inch model mimicking the current iPhone X and a 6.5-inch model similar to the iPhone 8 Plus.

The 2018 event is also taking place live from the headquarters in Cupertino with proceedings expected to get underway at around 6pm BST.

According to 9to5Mac, the upcoming iPhone models will carry the iPhone XS name.
