Official LG V40 ThinQ teaser confirms the phone has five cameras

Previous leaks had pointed towards a notch display and a triple lens camera appearing on the LG V40 ThinQ and now a new leak from reliable leakster Evan Blass supports those rumours.

The official announcement is set for October 4th in NY, so we'll find out more about the internals and of course about availability for the phone soon enough.

The LG V40 ThinQ will be announced on October 4 in South Korean.

LG has sent out media invites for the unveiling of V40 ThinQ in the form of a 10-second animation that highlights its camera feature.

LG has released a short video that gives us a glimpse of the upcoming LG V40 ThinQ. The smartphone has been long rumored to sport 5 cameras in total - two front facing cameras and a horizontally stacked triple camera setup at the back.

LG said in a statement that it used the sand blast method to cut the back cover glass so that it will feel soft, but remain sturdy. Below that is the fingerprint reader, and then the V40 ThinQ and LG logos to finish things out.

In its blog post discussing the phone LG did not explain any specific features of the camera system.

Huawei's P20 Pro flagship features a main camera sensor, a telephoto lens for improved zoom quality and a monochrome sensor to capture high levels of detail.

LG also confirmed the phone will have a 6.4-inch display and that it will initially be available in three colors: New Platinum Grey, Moroccan Blue, and Carmine Red.

We can also very clearly see the trio of cameras that are on the back of the V40 ThinQ, with the flash sitting there right next to them.
