Announced on August 29, 2018 on PlayStaion.blog, the new line-up heavily features Destiny 2 front and center, and for good reason. That includes a 24 hour Gambit Preview to all Destiny 2 players on September 1.

If you were disappointed with Microsoft's Games with Gold lineup for September, don't expect to find any relief with Sony's alternative PlayStation Plus.

Destiny 2 is getting a free download period on the PlayStation 4 just ahead of the game's new expansion. Both the game's Year One expansion pass (which grants access to the previously released Curse of Osiris and Warmind expansions) and the Forsaken expansion must be purchased separately.

As usual, PS3 and PS Vita owners have some free games to look forward to as well. Players that prefer the portable console PS Vita will get Sparkle 2 and Foul Play.

Apple set to unveil new iPhone models on September 12
The new Apple Watch models will include larger screens that cover almost the entire front of the watch. According to the publication, the company will introduce three new iPhone and the updated Apple Watch.

September starts off with a bang with the not an MMO but totally an MMO shooter from Bungie, Destiny 2.

The free PlayStation Plus games for September 2018 are headlined by Destiny 2 and God of War III Remastered, two PlayStation 4 games from series that are headed in opposite directions. Will you be downloading these new titles onto your PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, and what are you hoping to see in October's update? The base game, at this point, offers nothing you haven't already experienced before.

God of War III: Remastered; however, will not be free until September 4. While the two games may be considered as blockbuster titles, the Destiny and God of War franchises now have different paths ahead of them. This seems to be a complete reworking of the way we buy and sell in the game so I will definitely be looking into this in much more depth as the days count down to Forsaken. Ostensibly it's a nice little set up to Forsaken's story, there's more if you dig deeper.
