CNN president tells Trump 'words matter' after suspected mail bomb found

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders called CNN's president "disgraceful" Thursday after he blamed President Trump for suspicious packages being sent to the network and to prominent Democrats like Bill and Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. "Thus far, they have shown no comprehension of that", Zucker said as the network's NY bureau was evacuated for five hours on Wednesday following the discovery of an explosive device sent there. He said the media are at fault for much of the partisan hostility, which has resulted in leftists hounding and harassing Republican officials in public. "The president is certainly not responsible for sending suspicious packages to someone no more than Bernie Sanders was responsible for a supporter of his shooting up a Republican baseball field practice past year - the idea that this is at the hands of the president is absolutely ridiculous". The package that included the explosive device and an envelope containing white powder was addressed to former Central Intelligence Agency director John Brennan, a frequent Trump critic.

Hours after what the Secret Service described as "a potentially explosive package" was recovered at CNN's NY offices, similar to the ones sent to Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and George Soros, the head of the network released a statement that pointed the finger at President Trump and his administration. Because the investigation is continuing, authorities could not confirm whether the packages contained functioning explosives, but they said the devices were being transported to an FBI facility in Virginia for examination.

"They asked me if the president tells mistruths or lies", Scaramucci said of his CNN interview during an appearance on Fox News.

"Yesterday, the very first thing that the president did was come out and condemn the violence".

US Secretary of State says illegal immigrants will not enter the US
Hundreds of Honduran migrants decided on Saturday to cross the Suchiate River in their eagerness to reach the US. Trump added, in a misspelled tweet: "I have alerted Border Patrol and Military that this is a National Emergy".

Suspicious packages also were mailed to the offices of Rep. Maxine Waters, a California Democrat who is a frequent target of the president's ridicule.

President Donald Trump has always had a very casual relationship with the truth. Because the President repeats SO many of his false claims, even in the face of questions from reporters, or after presented with the facts, it's very hard for me to believe he is entirely unaware that what he is saying is false or misleading.

"One side, and this president in particular, seems to condone and glorify violence", Mr. Fallon said on MSNBC.

There was no immediate response from the White House. "We'll keep you posted on that", Sciutto said.
