Earl Thomas Flips Off Seahawks' Sideline While Being Carted Off Field

Seattle Seahawks star defensive back Earl Thomas was just carted off of the field during his team's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

The 29-year-old was playing the 2018 season under the final year of his contract, which has a cap hit of $10.4 million.

There was no confirmation on what exactly the injury was, but trainers put an air cast on his left leg before he was taken off the field. Several Seahawks teammates knelt around him while holding hands as members of the team's medical staff tended to Thomas. There were no interested takers at that price, and if Thomas' injury proves to be season-ending, there's no way this looks good for head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider. "It's a big stadium". Earl was extraordinarily poised on the field.

He showed no signs of being caught up in the moment and seemed like an upgrade from Big Ten career touchdown leader, J.T. Unsurprisingly, players defended their coaches after the game. "We will no longer be comfortable being great".

"He knew exactly what had happened to him". But he was so poised and giving back to the players and all of us.

Though Thomas was not available to the media after the game, it is very likely his time in Seattle, if not the National Football League, is over. He's in the previous year of his current contract, and he's made his feelings about the desire for an extension (or a trade to another team what would extend him) very clear.
