The Florida man charged with sending 13 suspected pipe bombs to prominent Democrats is scheduled for a hearing in Florida on Monday.

The president spoke in North Carolina shortly after a suspect was arrested for allegedly putting 14 pipe bombs in manila envelopes and sending them to Trump's most vocal critics, including former president Barack Obama, former presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, CNN, Robert De Niro and others. Another package was delivered to the cable network's NY offices last week, causing an evacuation.

Sayoc was arrested Friday in Florida after investigators said they identified him through fingerprint and DNA evidence.

At a news conference in Washington, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that Sayoc had been charged with five federal crimes, including the interstate transportation of an explosive, the illegal mailing of explosives and making a threat against a former president and others.

"The judge looked at him, look at the prosecutor, and they saw this wasn't an individual who doesn't have that capacity and they put him on probation", Lowy said.

In a blog post on his website, Moore writes that his crew first encountered Sayoc in Melbourne, Florida, early 2017, where the newly-inaugurated president was already holding his first "Trump 2020 Re-election Rally".

The lawyer said Sayoc was a bodybuilder then, and displayed no political leanings except for plastering a vehicle he owned with Native American signs. The article also omits that Trump is the first president to follow through on a promise to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, a move that drew praise from Jews all over the world.

As of Friday, authorities had intercepted 14 packages Sayoc sent through the USA mail system, officials said.

"He's done everything from trying to operate a laundromat, to being a DJ, a bouncer, a dancer, a pizza man, you name it", said Ron Lowy, an attorney representing Sayoc's family.

AG Sessions confirmed Cesar Sayoc, 56, of Aventura, Florida was arrested in South Florida and is being questioned by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

"Uhh, if they wanted me to", Trump said when asked if he would call Obama or any of the other targets to update them on the investigation.

The first crude bomb to be discovered was delivered Monday to the suburban NY compound of George Soros, a liberal billionaire and major contributor to Democratic causes.

Sayoc was previously known to law enforcement officials and has been arrested almost a dozen times in Florida, including a 2002 arrest for making a bomb threat.

All were sent through the Postal Service and intercepted before reaching their intended targets without exploding.
