The latest update in Fortnite marks the beginning of Season 6 which is themed as Darkness Rising. 950 V-Bucks gives you access to 100 levels and over 100 new rewards, new Shadows Stones consumables and an updated map.
Season 6 of Fortnite certainly kicked off with a bang. The gold version of this weapon was a favorite among some players as it was usually a one shot drop. Rifts are still here but now players have something else they can interact with.
With a new Battle Pass also comes a plethora of challenges for players to complete and a secret Battle Star to locate. You also get a special "Phase" ability, allowing you to boost forward, passing through objects as you travel. Since they are activated when you touch them, you can't move them to activate in a different part of the map - effectively setting up perimeters where you'll know you need to be on high alert.
A number of weapons were vaulted, including the Impulse Grenades, Suppressed Submachine Gun, Light Machine Gun, Bouncer, and Remote Explosives. The Grappler now offers just 10 charges instead of 15, and damage dealt by the double-barrel shotgun has been reduced significantly.

Storm Circles and both their wait time and shrink time have gotten changes. The radius of some zones has been increased. This maximises the time that you can search a red heatmap area, and probably won't run into too many other people.
Once again, the most significant changes in Battle Royale are to the map.
