On the rear sits a fingerprint scanner, positioned neatly in the top centre of the phone's backside and away from the camera array. It also happens to be the world's first smartphone with four cameras at the back.

The 3,800mAh battery charges over USB-C and Samsung continues to retain the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Flip the phone over, and you'll spot a total of four cameras arranged vertically on the left-hand side.

The phone has a great design and premium feel to it.

Samsung has revealed the European pricing of the Galaxy A9 (2018). They don't work in unison, like other phones with dual cameras.

Want to tell people that you took that super-fly picture of you using the world's first quad camera smartphone?

You'd be forgiven for getting a bit confused. Samsung did not opt for a notched display on the A9 (2018) which means the South Korean company is yet to launch a smartphone with a notch. According to a leak from Evan Blass and AllAboutSamsung, they are planning to release the Galaxy A9 Star Pro with four rear cameras.

Have 19 hours? World's longest commercial flight takes off
The Airbus jet that will ply the route carries a maximum of 161 passengers, compared with 253 on the airline's existing A350-900s. Passengers are preparing to board the world's longest flight - a marathon 19 hour service connecting Singapore and NY .

Lastly, at the very bottom of the arrangement is the new 5-megapixel "live focus" depth camera, with an aperture of f/2.2. One lens, for example, gives the phone 2x optical zoom, for better looking close-up photos. The feature is also present on the Galaxy A7 - Samsung's first triple camera smartphone. Let us know in the comments. Video capabilities are capped at Full HD though.

Maybe we'll get to a point where half of the phone is covered in imaging sensors like the Light L16 Camera, which went up pre-order back in October 8, 2015, and shipped two years later.

Inside, the Galaxy A9 offers 128GB storage, with room for up to 512GB of extra space with the addition of a microSD card, plus 6GB RAM.

The ultrapricey Note 9 is one of the year's best phones.

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ both opt for either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or the Exynos 9810, depending on the region.

The Galaxy A9 has all those lenses, which is a great thing. It will run Google's Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with the company's Experience UI skin on top.

The Galaxy A9 will be available in three color options - Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue, and Bubblegum Pink - with sales set to kick off in select global markets from November. Well, five if you include the front camera too.
