Shoppers head to South Florida malls for last-minute Christmas gifts

Christmas Eve and Christmas day are some of the slowest holidays of the year.

If you're planning to get around on public transit, the TTC will have regular Sunday service on December 24 and 25. Chinook Centre, Southcentre Mall, Sunridge Mall, CrossIron Mills, Market Mall and The CORE are open until 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day.

Most people will spend Christmas eating, drinking, and making merry with friends and family.

As many local and national businesses close their doors this week for the holidays, there are a few retailers and restaurants that will be open around the Valley. And so does Kohl's which has been open non-stop since 7 a.m. on December 21.

Here is a list of hours for some of the most popular grocery stores Las Vegas area.

Trader Joe's: Trader Joe's is open until 6 p.m. It is closed on Christmas Day.

Walmart Supercenter. Usually open 24 hours a day, Walmart Supercenters will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and remain closed Christmas Day.

Albertsons and Kroger are closing at 9 p.m.

The CTrain will run every 15 minutes throughout the day and every 30 minutes after 10 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. Bus routes may vary on Christmas Day.

7-Eleven: Most 7-Elevens are open 24 hours, 7 days a week, including Christmas Day. The store will be open from 7 6 p.m. local time on December 24. On Christmas Eve both malls will open until 6 p.m. On Boxing Day, most shopping malls open at 8 a.m.
