With a successful title defense, tonight may put "Pac-Man", in a line against Floyd Mayweather rematch.

The two former pound-for-pound kings have repeatedly teased a retread of their May 2015 showdown, even coming face-to-face in Japan during September of a year ago.

"I'm happy serving the people as a senator and giving honor to our country", said Pacquiao who's been a philanthropist since becoming one of boxing's biggest names in the early 2000s. He was also reunited with his long-time trainer Freddie Roach for this fight.

Pacquaio said after the win: 'I feel so happy because I did my best in the fight and in training. "I'm willing to fight again to Floyd Mayweather if he's willing to come back in boxing".

Mayweather had not fought in a sanctioned boxing match since August 2017, when he stopped Conor McGregor in the 10th round of their much-hyped showdown.

He wanted to see what Manny Pacquiao had left and if a rematch with him later in the year would be of interest.

After that bout, Mayweather reiterated that he was still retired.

Only time will tell if the fight indeed would come to fruition at some point in future, but, as things stand, Pacquiao seems more than ready to square off against Mayweather one final time before hanging up the gloves. Moments later, Pacquiao connected with a clean left hand that buckled Broner and sent him reeling into the ropes, where Pacquiao continued to pound him as the crowd stood and cheered. Pacquiao began to tee off on Broner, who resorted to clinches and collar tie-ups to survive.

In the end, it was a wipeout, though the judges did give Broner some love in scoring the fight 117-111, 116-112 and 116-112.

"He needs to get past Adrien Broner first".

Broner landed only 50 punches, according to CompuBox and was outlanded by a more than 2-to-1 margin. Broner never landed more than seven punches in any round.

"I don't believe my career is over", Pacquiao said.
