Shares sank almost four percent to $339.70 in after-market trades that followed release of earnings figures that showed the Silicon Valley company logged profit of $134 million on revenue of $4.2 billion in the final three months of past year. According to data from the research firm The Diffusion Group - which was compiled before Netflix's most recent price hike - 8% of respondents indicated that they'd leave the service if the cost of a subscription went up even $1 a month.

Netflix has seen blistering growth in the past few years and has bet heavily on global subscriber additions, spending billions of dollars to bolster its original content.

Footage of the 2013 runaway train disaster that killed 47 people and destroyed most of the small town's downtown core appears in the Netflix film Bird Box and in an episode of the science fiction series Travelers, the BBC reports.

In a letter to shareholders he wrote, his focus was always less on the secondary exploitation of content, but on the fabrics, which allows the company to produce to provide his subscribers exclusive.

"There's a billion hours of television content being consumed today - we're winning about 10 percent of it", Chief Executive Officer Reed Hastings said in an online Q&A.

"They had more net [subscriber] adds in Q4 this year than they had last year, they're now approaching 50% penetration of U.S. TV households", Forrester analyst Jim Nail told MarketWatch.

Claudio Ranieri says Fulham's late defeat to Tottenham is down to inexperience
As for the Cottagers, Claudio Ranieri's side remains five points from safety following their 2-1 defeat away to Burnley. If anything Fulham looked the more unsafe side with Ryan Babel making a lively debut.

"The fact that investors reacted negatively to what amounted to a strong performance indicates the extent to which Netflix has set a high bar", said eMarketer media analyst Paul Verna.

According to the service itself, Bird Box has been viewed by over 80 million households in its first four weeks on the platform.

Netflix added 1.53 million new domestic subscribers compared to forecasts of 1.5 million.

At least 14 analysts raised their price targets, with RBC Capital Markets pushing its estimate by $30 to $480, well past the stock's median target of $410.

Netflix finished up 2018 with 139 subscriptions worldwide, up by 29 million from the beginning of the year. Internationally, the Company said its screen time earned a lower percentage due to weaker penetration of its service. Stocks trading at high earnings multiples are more prone to sell off if growth targets are missed.

It has not been an especially great week for Netflix or its polarising monster flick Bird Box, which has spawned one of the most idiotic so-called "challenges" to surface in this cursed timeline we're trapped in.
