Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be donating Rs 5 lakh each to the families of CRPF troppers who died in the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. He was cornered by Security Forces along with two more terrorists at Pinglan in an encounter that started in the wee hours this morning.
One civilian was also killed according to local news reports.
The four Indian Army personnel belonged to the 55 Rashtriya Rifles and have been identified as Major VS Dhoundiyal, Havaldar Sheo Ram, Sepoy Ajay Kumar and Sepoy Hari Singh.
On that day, 42 Indian paramilitary personnel were killed when a 20-year-old suicide bomber rammed his explosives-laden vehicle into one of the buses in an army convoy carrying the soldiers.
The strike in Kashmir is by far the worst since Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power in 2014 and has put pressure on the government to act against Pakistan, which it blamed for the deadly assault in Kashmir.
