Ariana Grande breaks the mold

The music video of Break Up with your girlfriend, I'm bored starts off with Ariana Grande spotting a couple in the bar starring Charles Melton and Ariel Yasmine.

In addition to the "thank u, next" album drop, Grande also released a music video for the song "break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored", which had a widely talked about twist ending.

Grande appears to be in competition with the woman as she nonchalantly sings the song's seductive refrain. But toward the very end of the video, the three of them are in a pool and she pivots from her suggested interest in the man to his girlfriend. Especially after the pains Ariana Grande went through in her personal life, with the split from Pete Davidson and ex-boyfriend Mac Miller dying; everyone was glad to see that singer found a way to heal.

Midler wasn't always Grande's biggest fan, however, as she once bashed the singer's artistic choices.

Milwaukee Bucks: Giannis Antetokounmpo selects his All-Star team
TNT aired the draft Thursday evening but pre-recorded it that morning while trade news was still flying ahead of the 3 p.m. Giannis Antetokounmpo thinks he might take Stephen Curry with his first pick in the NBA All-Star draft.

"In particular, as noted by BuzzFeed, some fans speculated that the track "Ghostin" is about Davidson not being able to comfort Grande after Miller's death in September 2018. It would fall into line with themes which recur throughout the album, like in "NASA" and the self-love line on "Thank U, Next".

Grande, who will headline the Coachella music festival in April, will embark on a world tour in May, arriving in the United Kingdom in August. It causes a stir of confusion especially in social media, until last February 7 when the pop superstar finally sets the record straight on Twitter calling Grammy's executive producer Ken Ehrlich's statement as a lie. "And how i should be ghosting him", she wrote.

In a separate tweet, Grande uploaded a screenshot of Ehrlrich's quote from the AP story to give fans some context. He then proceeded to graciously explain why several of Grande's lyrics actually make sense so those who do not write about space for a living could understand. "I've kept my mouth shut but now you're lying about me".

"Before its release, Grande told fans what she had in mind while writing the emotional track: "[Ghostin' is about] feeling badly for the person you're with because you love somebody else.
