Colts Officially Receive 2019 Fourth-Round Compensatory Draft Pick

The compensatory picks are positioned within the third-through-seventh rounds based on the value of the compensatory free agents lost. They previously had a first-round pick (No. 22) and third-round pick (No. 85); the team traded its second-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in the draft-day deal a year ago that netted the No. 32 overall pick, which was used to take quarterback Lamar Jackson.

The Chiefs were one of seven teams to be awarded one additional selection, but eight teams earned multiple picks. To qualify for compensatory picks, teams must end up with more or better compensatory free agents lost than gained in a particular year. That means the Jacksonville Jaguars now have the No. 98 overall pick locked in with their other selections, which was originally given to them by the Los Angeles Rams in October through the Dante Fowler Jr. trade.

The compensatory selections are awarded to teams based on the Compensatory Draft System's net loss formula.

Hopefully, the Minnesota Vikings can acquire some of the most talented players in the draft to help improve the squad in hopes of returning to the postseason during the 2019 season.

House Dems Will Introduce Resolution Blocking Trump Emergency Friday
Trump declared a national emergency last Friday despite no evidence of an immigration crisis. The White House's proclamation has not only been denounced by Democrats.

For the first time in a decade, the Green Bay Packers did not receive a compensatory draft pick.

Their lone second round pick choice will be aired on April 27, followed by a third round bereft of Saints picks.

"The number of compensatory picks allotted each year is limited to the number of teams in the league (32), per the Collective Bargaining Agreement".
