McConnell says Senate will vote on Democrats’ ‘Green New Deal’

During his rally to counteract President Donald Trump's border wall event in El Paso, Texas, Monday night, O'Rourke told BuzzFeed News the Green New Deal was "the best proposal" that he'd seen to address global warming.

The Washington Post's Robert Costa tweeted Tuesday morning: "McConnell is considering taking up the green new deal for a vote in the Senate as a way to rattle Sen Dems, per a McConnell aide here at the [Capitol]".

One of the most chilling lines she utters comes after she confirms that the use of hush money is legal: "That money is considered speech". The Green New Deal also specifically targets Wall Street institutions that have used monetary support of the government through taxpayer dollars during economic crises.

Introduced by freshman Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., it has gotten some lip service from presidential hopefuls in the Senate, including Sens. The principles of the Green New Deal resonate with the American people - a mission to save all of creation by investing in massive job creation.

Democratic Sens. Elizabeth Warren of MA and Cory Booker of New Jersey, who have both announced their bids for the 2020 nomination, have signed on as Senate co-sponsors of the Green New Deal. "The green dream, or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they're for it, right?" she said.
