Ronaldo: I’ve won five Champions Leagues, Atletico have zero

After Juventus succumbed to a 2-0 first leg defeat to Atletico Madrid in their Champions League Round of 16 clash, Cristiano Ronaldo left the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano a little disgruntled.

Germany worldwide Khedira, 31, part of the side that won the 2014 World Cup, had trained on Tuesday before his side flew to Madrid for Wednesday's clash at the Wanda Metropolitano.

The 34-year-old Ronaldo has a fine record against Atletico, having scored 22 goals in 31 matches against the capital club, including a hat-trick in the 2016-2017 Champions League semi-finals.

His best chance at goal was a long-range free-kick early in the first-half, which was comfortably saved by the imperious Jan Oblak and brought about one of the biggest cheers of the night.

It was Atletico supporters who got the last laugh, though, as a pair of scrappy goals from centre-backs Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin gave the home side a two-goal advantage heading into the second leg in Turin - and the second effort actually deflected in off Ronaldo.

An Israeli nonprofit says it'll launch what it hopes will be the first private spacecraft to land on the moon this week. In the northern hemisphere the February moon is known as the snow moon or the bone moon, since it occurs in the winter.

Clearly still fuming after the final whistle, Ronaldo stormed through the mixed zone and repeated his hand gesture again.

In the last minute of the match, Raheem Sterling found himself through on goal, to slot home a victor and grab an invaluable third away goal to win the match in Gelsenkirchen and complete an heroic comeback to, perhaps, put the tie to bed in the first leg.

'It will not be easy in Turin - we will need a great game, but I remain confident'.

"The team is growing physically, psychologically and technically and we have to keep going as we enter the most important stage of the season".
