It's paired with a laser autofocus system and a number of AI enhancements (AI portrait, AI scene detection, steady handheld night photography, and more). And if that's not enough, Xiaomi is also selling a 20 watt wireless charger for your vehicle, complete with a grip that automatically opens and closes when you reach for the charger.

Of course, there is a small drawback to all this, because to reach that full 20-watts, Xiaomi had to ditch the standard Qi wireless charging standards when transferring more than 10 watts of electricity.

Certainly, the most noticeable aspect of the spec sheet is the triple-camera setup. Moreover, Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition will also be offered in same colour options.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 has an impressive 107 DxOMark overall rear camera score, beating out the likes of the Pixel 3, iPhone XS Max, Galaxy Note 9 and OnePlus 6T.

Perhaps the biggest change in design this time around is the fact that the fingerprint sensor is now underneath the display. One pretty neat trick the auto charger has is a motorized clamp that opens when it senses you want to mount the phone for charging. Xiaomi Mi 9 also supports slow motion video recording up to 960 fps. At the front, the Mi 9 Explorer Edition houses a 24-megapixel shooter for selfies.

Possibly, the only thing disappointing that you might find about the new Mi 9 is the measly 3,300mAh battery. Ahead of Mobile World Congress, the company is announcing the new Xiaomi Mi 9, its latest addition to the Mi line that builds on the Mi 8 from previous year and doesn't look all that different.

Xiaomi has opted for a gradient pattern at the rear of the Mi 9.it features hues of blue that is reflective, which makes it distinctive. The 20-megapixel front selfie camera is located right at the top the screen in a teardrop shape, much like the Essential Phone and the Oppo R17. The latest MIUI on Mi 9 brings dark mode on the smartphone. About the same speed as Quick Charge 3.0 - which is wired. Along with the handset, Xiaomi also announced a 20W wireless charger which is the fastest available so far. Xiaomi's Mi 9 SE gets Snapdragon 712 chipset that is clubbed with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. This processor is teamed up with Adreno 640 GPU, 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage space.

The cheaper model is priced at ¥1,999 (around P15,457 or $298). These prices are converted from Chinese currency, so they will differ a bit.
