China blocks United Nations resolution seeking sanctions on Maulana Masood Azhar

Pressuring Pakistan to deliver on its counter-terrorism commitments and the move to designate Azhar a global terrorist figured in foreign secretary Vijay Gokhale's meeting with USA secretary of state Mike Pompeo. Under the arms embargo, all states are required to prevent the direct or indirect supply, sale and transfer from their territories or by their nationals outside their territories to the designated individuals and entities.
