Gayle King Praised for Keeping Composure During Explosive R. Kelly Interview

Kelly claimed in a 2012 memoir Soulacoaster that he had been sexually abused as a child. I have been buried alive. In February, he was indicted on 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse in regards to four apparent victims.

The criminal charges in IL followed increasing scrutiny and protests over allegations of Kelly's abuse of young girls and women, including parents who publicly accused Kelly of holding women against their will in what was described as an abusive and controlling "cult", and a new documentary, Surviving R Kelly, in which women who said they had been victimized by the singer shared their stories.

R. Kelly got emotional as he claimed he was "fighting for his f-king life" in an interview about the various sexual abuse charges the singer is now facing.

"Gayle King is again teaching a master's class in interviewing", Yamiche Alcindor, White House correspondent for PBS' "NewsHour", said on Twitter.

Clary and Kelly both say this all comes down to money, and the parents don't really care.

The parents of one of the girls have claimed she is being held at his home against her will. But it was clear that King was getting close to Kelly's soft spots, because the singer began to overreact to her questions and became extremely emotional.

There have been cases in which people who spoke up pointed to evidence that ultimately helped win their freedom, but, Birkett said, "historically it's a bad idea". Do you still sit here and say you have never been with underage girls?
