"And most obviously, for the president to say he is completely exonerated directly contradicts the words of Mr. Mueller and is not to be taken with any degree of credibility".

Trump was in his private quarters at Mar-a-Lago when staff and his attorneys described Barr's letter about Mueller's findings.

"It is unconscionable that President Trump would try to spin the findings as if his conduct was acceptable", he added, after noting that according to Barr's summary, Mueller said his report did not "exonerate" the president on the accusations of obstruction of justice. Barr said that Mueller "thoroughly" investigated the question of whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russia's election interference, issuing more than 2,800 subpoenas, obtaining almost 500 search warrants and interviewing 500 witnesses.

In a verdict celebrated by Trump, Barr's summary said Mueller found no evidence that the Trump campaign coordinated with Russian Federation, despite multiple offers from individuals associated with Russian Federation.

"As soon as that process is complete, I will be in a position to move forward expeditiously in determining what can be released in light of applicable, law, regulations and departmental policies", he said.

Trump, however, is celebrating because he has maintained that the charges against him - that he colluded with the Russians to influence voters in the United States - were fabricated and part of a larger conspiracy to undermine his win over Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Democrats nearly immediately raised questions about the report's finding about obstruction.

"They'll never get you because they'll never "get" you".

"T$3 he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities", Barr quoted Mueller as writing in his report.

None of those charges directly related to the allegations of collusion between the campaign and Moscow - allegations that President Trump has always denied.

Twin Lakes School Corporation Superintendent Michael Galvin released a statement that said the district is committed to providing a safe environment for its students and employees.

He later told reporters: "This was an illegal takedown that failed and, hopefully, somebody is going to be looking at the other side".

Democrat Jerry Nadler, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, announced that he would be calling Barr to testify in the near future.

But Mueller did not find that any "U.S. person or Trump campaign official or associate conspired or knowingly coordinated with the IRA in its efforts", according to Barr's summary.

Mueller's investigation brought charges against 34 people, including Russian agents and former key allies of Trump, such as campaign chairman Paul Manafort, former security adviser Mike Flynn and his personal lawyer Michael Cohen.

Barr's chief of staff called White House counsel Emmet Flood at 3 pm Sunday to brief him on the report to Congress.

"Truth is generally the best vindication against slander", Ivanka tweeted. "KEEP AMERICA GREAT!" he wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Muellerturned his report over to the Justice Department on Friday afternoon, less than two years after Rosenstein named him to the position after Comey's firing.

In the letter, Barr said he concluded that none of Trump's actions constituted a federal crime that prosecutors could prove in court.
