Earlier this month, Samsung announced the 64-megapixel ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor with pixel size of 0.8-micrometer (μm).
Samsung has traditionally introduced new features to its mid-range smartphones first before bringing them to the premium models. The Galaxy A70S will be the first smartphone to offer the all-new 64 MP camera sensor from Samsung.
Another set of reports indicate that this same camera sensor can be placed in Samsung Galaxy Note 10 as well. If the South Korean daily is accurate, Samsung's Galaxy A70S could snatch the megapixel crown from current reigning champ Sony IMX586, which sports a 48-megapixel camera. The Galaxy A70s will employ Samsung's 64MP sensor for the first time in a smartphone. The front of the Galaxy A70 featured Samsung's Inifity-U display and the notch upfront also equipped a 32MP selfie shooter.
Take this news with a pinch of salt, because A70S can be simply a hardware refresh of A70, with a superior camera. Going by the name, we can expect it to have at least a few things in common with the Galaxy A70. But other than that, we still don't know much about this "AI speaker". It has always been expected that the company will launch this sensor with the Galaxy Note 10.
