"With macOS Catalina, we're bringing fresh new apps to the Mac, starting with new standalone versions of Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and the Apple TV app", Craig Federighi, Apple's senior vice president of software engineering, said in a press release.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the tech company will announce that three separate apps for music, TV and podcasts will supersede iTunes, as Apple seeks to reposition itself as an entertainment service rather than a hardware company powered by products such as the iPhone.

Instead the iTunes Instagram page redirects followers to the official Apple TV account. However, we also expect the Apple Watch and watchOS to be a major highlight this year. Oprah, Jason Momoa, Big Bird, Steven Spielberg and a host of other stars have also lent themselves to original Apple shows. Apple confirmed that the new Apple Watch update will arrive later this year, but they didn't confirm a specific date. Currently, developers have to put valuable resources into developing their successful applications for the Mac, which has a much smaller install base than iOS.
