Gas explosion at South Florida shopping center injures at least 21

A powerful gas explosion caused multiple injuries on Saturday at a shopping mall in Florida, firefighters said.

Video posted to Twitter showed the force of the blast blew out several windows at a nearby L.A. Fitness gym, sending patrons running for the exits. "We're still searching the collapse area for any leftover victims, but at this point, we believe we've accounted for everyone".

CNN affiliate WPLG reported that the explosion occurred at The Fountains mall in Plantation, near Fort Lauderdale. There were no known fatalities immediately after the explosion, said police officer Chavez Grant.
