The Clippers' in-arena rival, the Los Angeles Lakers did all they could to try and land Kawhi Leonard, trading valuable assets away and trying to clear the way for the superstar to come to the other side of LA.

This seems like a great match for Cousins, who said earlier this year he actually still ponders the what-ifs about his relationship with Davis and Rajon Rondo, who is signing a two-year deal with the Lakers, Woj and Ramona Shelburne also reported Saturday. The Duke product averaged 6.9 points per game last season in Golden State, and is a career 41.8 percent 3-point shooter, helping the Lakers fill a massive hole in their roster.

Rondo also fills a big need at point guard for Los Angeles, which bolstered its depth at the position by signing Quinn Cook earlier in the day but needed a starter. Cousins' deal is expected to be for one year. In those games, he averaged 16.3 points and 8.2 rebounds. They will play alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis as the team works to improve from a 37-45 record from last season.

Hope gets Windies to 6-311 against Afghans
Carlos Brathwaite (4-63) dismissed Shah as he and Kemar Roach (3-37) snuffed out Afghan hopes of an unlikely victory. Afghanistan will face West Indies in match 42 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on Thursday at Headingley, Leeds .

Rondo battled a number of ailments during the 2018-19 season that caused him to miss over 30 games but recorded 14 double-doubles and one triple-double when he was healthy. His deal is reportedly worth $5.5 million over two years.

The Golden State Warriors continue an offseason overhaul.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to break the news of Cousins swapping the Warriors for the Lakers.
