Bob Rigby Out as Union Color Commentator
- Updated: January 31, 2013
According to the Philly Soccer Page, Bob Rigby will not return to the Union’s broadcast booth in 2013 alongside J.P. Dellacmera. Rigby was not well accepted by Union fans, who questioned the initial choice to bring him on in 2012.
PSP was also informed by a Union representative that they should be releasing their “broadcast talent and local schedule next week.” Rigby joins Taylor Twellman and Kyle Martino on a list of broadcasters who have left the broadcast booth after just one season for the Union. Twellman has gone on to be ESPN’s color commentator for international friendlies, while Martino is the sideline/color commentator for NBC Sports Network’s coverage of MLS alongside Arlo White.
Thanks to Philly Soccer Page for the information.
