Dan Baker to PA Announcer for Eagles Games at XFINITY Live!

Philadelphia PA:  There will be a familiar voice that all Philadelphia sports fans will be hearing this football season. On Wednesday, Philadelphia number 1 entertainment venue Xfinity Live announced that Dan Baker would be the PA Announcer for 12 of 16 Eagles games.  This is a very exciting thing to have the Voice of Philly Sports behind the mic for Eagles games. Philadelphia, PA (September 14, 2015) – Legendary Public Address Announcer Dan Baker brings the voice of Philadelphia sports to XFINITY Live! in his new position as the host of game day coverage during Philadelphia Eagles home and away games.

Known as Philadelphia’s “fourth stadium”, fans will experience the excitement and passion of an “in-stadium” atmosphere as Baker announces Eagles games over XFINITY Live!’s PA system.  Baker will also lead fans in the Eagles fight song after every touchdown.

Baker is a Philadelphia Public Address Announcer legend best known as the voice of Veterans Stadium, Lincoln Financial Field and Citizens Bank Park. Baker has been the public address announcer for the Philadelphia Phillies since 1972 and served as the Philadelphia Eagles Public Address Announcer from 1985 to 2014. Baker has also served as a public address announcer for five World Series (1980, 1983, 1993, 2008, and 2009), two Major League Baseball All-Star games (1976 and 1996), and three NFC Championship games (2002, 2003, and 2004). He was inducted into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame in 2012.
