Duke Defeats Temple in Coaches vs Cancer Classic

Brooklyn, NY: On Friday November 21 from Barclays Center in Brooklyn NY, the Coaches vs Cancer tournament took place, it featured an early season showdown as Number 3 in the nation the Undefeated Duke Blue Devils took on Undefeated Temple Owls. Duke comes into game off a win over 19th Rank Michigan State while Temple enters game following a win over Louisiana Tech. The game was broadcasted nationally on truTV with Brian Anderson, Greg Anthony, Steve Smith, Seth Davis calling the action

 

Duke won the tip to start the game and the games first points came from Duke Jahlil Okafor  for 2 points, Temple answered back with basket of their own by Devontae Watson to tie the game at 2. Both Teams would have some issues scoring in the 1st half, Temple had issues handing the ball, multiple turnovers, Duke issues in the 1st half was that their shits were not going in. Duke would take a 36-26 lead into halftime.

Temple got ball to begin the 2nd half, Duke continued where they left off in the 1st half, Duke would get the lead as big as 20 point when the score was 62-40 with 6 minutes left in the 2nd half. Temple would make a late run to cut the lead down but Duke had an answer for them as Duke lead from start to finish as they defeat Temple 74-54. Duke will now take on Stanford in the Championship game of  Coaches vs Cancer while Temple takes on UNLV in the 3rd place game in Coaches vs Cancer.
