Old Dominion Defeats Drexel 78-66

The Drexel Dragons took on the Old Dominion Monarchs in CAA Action. Drexel off a loss to Northeastern while Old Dominion came into the game off a loss to George Mason. Old Dominion made a coaching change before this game firing coach Blaine Taylor and replaced him with Intern coach Jim Corrigan. The game was broadcasted Nationally on NBC Sports Network with Mike Corey and Ron Thompson Calling the action. Drexel starts with the ball to begin the game & they strike fast with three pointer by Frantz Massenat. The first points for Old Dominion came from Donte Hill for 2 points. The turning point of the game came few milutes latter in the first half when Drexel’s Frantz Massenat was Fouled from 3 Point Range; missing all 3 from the foul line. Old Dominion would take full advantage taking a 30-26 lead into Halftime Leading scorer for Old Dominion was Dimitri Batten with 9 points, for Drexel it was Frantz Massenat with 15 points
Drexel would start with the ball o begin the 2nd half and they would take a early 39-38 lead in the 2nd half with foul shots by Dartaye Ruffin. Old Dominion would take over the rest of the game and would not give up the lead again as Old Dominion would cruise to a
78-66 to give Old Dominion Intern coach Jim Corrigan first coaching win

Drexel: Derrick Thomas had 18 points and 3/4 from 3 point range, Frantz Massenat had 17 points
