Olympians in London will receive 15 free condoms
- Updated: July 20, 2012
According to the Daily Mirror, each competitor at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London will receive 15 free condoms. If there are 10,000 athletes competing, how many free condoms will there be? Since this is about sex and the Olympics instead of solving elementary math problems, the answer is simply 150,000 free condoms.
We aren’t sure about this one, but it appears that Durex is the official condom sponsor of the Olympic games. The Daily Mirror says that if the athletes make use of the free contraceptives and actually use more than the 15 they are given, more can be provided.
US Women’s soccer goalie Hope Solo told the Daily Mirror: “There’s a lot of sex going on at the Olympics.” Solo’s comments may leave you wondering about what she has done in the past. “I may have snuck a celebrity into my Beijing room without anybody knowing and snuck him back out. But that’s my Olympic secret,” Solo added. The idea is pretty bizarre, but it’s also record-breaking. The 150,000 free condoms that will be given out is a record-high at the Olympics.
