Bernard Hopkins vs Beibut Shumenov Preview

Washington, DC On Saturday April 19 from the DC Armory in Washington DC, a championship triple header will take place as the fight is being called “History at the capital” which is headlined by the light heavyweight championship bout between Bernard Hopkins taking on Beibut Shumenov. Bernard Hopkins is looking to make a new record which is oldest fighter to unify world titles. Bernard Hopkins at the age of 49  comes into this fight off a win over Karo Murat on October 26 & Beibut Shumenov age 30 comes into fight off of a win over Tamas Kovacs on December 14. Hopkins weighed in at 172.4 LBS & Shumenov at 174.4 LBS. There are going to be two championship fights that will lead up to the main event. The first fight that will start the Showtime broadcast will be Peter Quillin puts his title one the line against Lukas Konecny & the com main event is Shawn Porter defending his title against Paulie Malignaggi. The Fight will be broadcasted LIVE on Showtime starting at 9:30 PM EST.

Bernard Hopkins (54-6-2, 32 KOs) vs Beibut Shumenov (14-1, 9 KOs) 12 Rounds for IBF/WBA light heavyweight unification

Co Main Event:
Shawn Porter  (23-0-1, 14 KOs) vs  Paulie Malignaggi (33-5, 7 KOs) 12 rounds, for Porter’s IBF welterweight title

Undercard Fight:
Peter Quillin (30-0, 22 KOs) vs Lukas Konecny (50-4, 23 KOs) 12 rounds, for Quillin’s WBO middleweight title

Following the championship fights, Showtime will show the debut of “All Access: Mayweather vs. Maidana previewing the May 3 Pay Per View Fight between Floyd Mayweather vs Marcos Maidana
