13 US Open Golf Preview

The Golf world has come back to Philadelphia for its national championship, the 113th US Open will take place at Historic Merion Golf Club in Ardmore PA, this is the first time that the US Open has been played at Merion Golf club since 1981. Merion Golf Club has hosted the US Open 4 previous times in 1934 won by Olin Dutra,1950 won by Ben Hogan,1971 won by Lee Trevino ,1981 won by David Graham.

The first group to tee off on Thursday is Cliff Kresge, & Roger Tambellini at 6:45AM on Hole 1 & Bubba Watson, Dustin Johnson & Nicolas Colsaerts start at 7AM on Hole 11. on Friday it is  Justin Hicks, David Howell & Brian Stuard at 6:45 AM on Hole 1 & David Toms, Darren Clarke & Jose Maria Olazabal at 7AM on Hole 11

There are some interesting paring for the first two rounds of the US Open which are the following:
1. Lucas Glover, Paul Casey,Bill Haas starting at Hole 1 at 7:18 on Thursday & 1:18 on Hole 11 on Friday
2. Bubba Watson, Dustin Johnson & Nicolas Colsaerts starting at Hole 11 at 7AM on Thursday & 12:30 on Hole 1 on Friday
3. Jim Furyk, Graeme McDowell, Zach Johnson starting at Hole 1 at 1:03 on Thursday & 7:33 AM on Hole 11 on Friday
4. Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, & Martin Kaymer starting at Hole 1 at 12:52 on Thursday & 7:22 on Hole 11 on Friday

The Featured paring of rounds 1 & 2 is Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott who are the number 1-2-3 players in the world, they tee off at 1:14 on Thursday from Hole 1 & 7:44AM on Friday from Hole 11

Broadcast information: ESPN & NBC  will broadcast the US Open: ESPN coverage Thursday and Friday and the weekend highlights programs will be hosted by Chris Berman & NBC’s Roger Maltbie in the 18th hole booth. Mike Tirico & Paul Azinger will share time in the host role and on the 18th hole each day. Hole Announcers are Curtis Strange Scott  Van Pelt, Terry Gannon & Sean McDonough, the on-course reporter are  Andy North, Judy Rankin & Dottie Pepper, Tom Rinaldi with player interviews.

NBC will have Dan Hicks & Johnny Miller call the action, Bob Costas will host NBC Coverage, Jimmy Roberts will do player interviews,
