Philadelphia PA: There are times during the season where the team has suffered some bad losses, players being injured, someone has to take responsibility for the way the team played.

On Monday, Drexel University announced that Bruiser Flint has been removed as their head basketball coach after they went 6-25 this past season. The news was first reported by ESPN

Couple Hours later, Drexel University confirmed that Bruiser Fint has been removed as Head Coach

Statement from Drexel University Director of Athletics Dr Eric Zillmer

“I would like to thank Bruiser for his 15 years of service to Drexel University, We appreciate all that he has done for the University and how his student-athletes have performed on the court and in the classroom.”

Bruiser Fint became the Dragons head coach in April 5, 2001. This past season was one of the worst under Fint during his 15th years with the Dragons. Fint record as head coach of Drexel during those 15 years was 245–217 and went 150–117 during Colonial Athletic Association play. Flint would lead Drexel to 5 post season appearances in the NIT (National Invitational Tournament), there were 2 separate situations where Drexel should have made the NCAA Tournament, they were in 2006-07 & 2011-12 season, both seasons they have won 23 & 29 games each and the NCAA Selection committee left them out.

During his tenure as head coach, Bruiser Flint had the CAA Defensive Player of the Year on four occasions, have had 22 All-CAA selections, 12 members of the conference’s All-Defensive team, six players named to the league’s All-Rookie team and two CAA Rookies of the Year.
