Philadelphia PA: The Boxing world came to the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia on Friday night for an interesting main event as Dashon Johnson took on Atlantic City own DeCarlo Perez in a 8 round middleweight fight. Johnson enters fight with a 20-19-3-1 with 6 Ko’s and off a win over Victor Manuel Palacios back in May 2016 while DeCarlo Perez comes into fight with Johnson with a 15-4-1 5 ko’s and off a ugly knockout loss to Rob Brant back in Janury 2016. Last time Dashon Johnson fought at 2300 Arena was in March 2016 when he lost a very close fight to Philadelphia own Jesse Hart.
In round 1 , Johnson would drop Perez with a nasty left hook that Perez did not see coming and Perez somehow survived the first round. Johnson would hurt his right hand in the 2nd round and Perez would start to get into a grove and make this a phone booth like fight with big shots and chances to end the fight. In the 8th round Johnson would rock Perez with another big right hand and then the fight would go the distance. Judges score the fight 78-72, 77-73 and 76-74 for Johnson by unanimous decision
