On Monday February 18th from the Daskalakis Athletic Center on the campus of Drexel University, the Drexel Dragons took on Hofstra Pride in Colonial Athletic Association Action. Drexel came into the game off a loss to George mason on Febriary 14th, while Hofstra came into the game off a loss to Towson on February 16th. The game was broadcast nationally on NBC Sports Network with Todd Harris and Ron Thompson calling the action. Hofstra started the game with the ball, and the first points of the game went to Drexel’s Damion Lee for two points. The first points for Hofstra went to Stevie Mejia with a three pointer. Foul trouble would be the case the entire game for both teams in the first half and it would contine in the second half. Drexel’s Frantz Massenat Makes layup at Buzzer, Drexel leads 33-23 at halftime over Hofstra.
The leading scorer for Hofstra in the first half was Stevie Mejia with 14 points, and the leading scorer for Drexel in the first half was Damon Lee with 10 points.
Drexel would begin the second half with the ball, and both teams would score on their opening poessions of the second half. Once again the fouls would become an issue, especially a questionable call by the officials. Hofstra’s Taran Buie was fouled from three point range, and would make 2 out of three from the line. Drexel’s lead would grow to 15 points, until Hofstra made it interesting late in the second half. Drexel would hold on for a 63-54 win. Drexel inproves to 11-15,(7-7 in conference),while Hofstra falls to 6-21 (3-11 in conference).

Hofstra: Stevie Mejia finished with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 3-5 from three point range, 5-6 from foul line
Drexel: Damion Lee finished with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 2-2 from foul line
