Uncasville, Conn: On Friday September 5 from Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville Conn, the Stars of Bellator MMA took center stage to begin the 11th season of Bellator MMA. The Headline fight for Bellator 123 was the Featherweight Title fight between Patricio Pitbul vs. Pat Curran in the Rematch. This card also featured the Return of Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal & the Bellator Debut of Bobby Lashley. The Fights were live on Spike TV.

Main Event: Patricio Pitbull (145) vs. Pat Curran (144.75) for Featherweight World Title
Co Main Event: Light Heavyweight: King Mo Lawal (202.5) vs. Dustin Jacoby (203.75)
Middleweight: Tamdan McCrory (184) vs. Brennan Ward (186)
Heavyweight: Lavar Johnson (249.75) vs. Cheick Kongo (238)
Heavyweight: Josh Burns (262.75) vs. Bobby Lashley (248)
The first fight of the night was Lavar Johnson vs. Cheick Kongo, Johnson came out with some big shots early in the 1st round, Kongo would take over and would win the fight has he makes Johnson tap out to rear naked choke at 3:27 of round 1. after the fight Kongo said he has to train hard if he wants another shot at the championship.
The next fight is the Bellator MMA debut of Bobby Lashley as he takes on Josh Burns. Lashley came out and took full control, This fight would only make it round 2 when Lashley would make Burns tap out to rear naked choke to win his Bellator MMA debut at 3:54 of 2nd round.
Next fight is Tamdan McCrory vs. Brennan Ward. This fight would not to long as Tamdan McCrory would Knock out Brennan Ward 21 seconds into the 1st round, it was 3 punch combo that would drop ward.
The Co Main Event of Bellator 123 is King Mo vs.. Dustin Jacoby. both fighters had some good punches that did some good damage in round 1, the fight would go to round 2 when King MO Nails Dustin Jacoby with a big Overhand right rand then went on attack and wins the fight by TKO 1:13 into round 2
Before the Main Event, Bellator President Scott Coker announced a big fight between 2 MMA Legends as Tito “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Ortiz takes on Stephan “The American Psycho” Bonnar at Bellator 131 on Saturday, November 15th from San Diego’s Valley View Casino Arena LIVE on Spike TV
The main event of Bellator 123 was a Rematch for the Title as Patricio Pitbull took on Pat Curran. two originally met in a closely contested fight at Bellator 85 back in January 2013, with Curran winning the bout via split decision. Both fighters came out with some good shots in the rematch. The fight was very close like the 1st one and it went all 5 rounds and the judges scored it (48-47, 49-46, 49-46 to winner by Unanimous decision and NEW Champion Patricio Pitbull. Now both Curran and Pitbull each have a win against each other, there needs to be a 3rd and final fight.
